About this vacancy

We are looking for experienced professionals in data engineering with opportunities across the Netherlands. As a Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage data systems, working with various technologies to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance business insights. You will contribute to groundbreaking projects across diverse sectors. You will optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. Collaborating with data professionals, you will support data-driven decision-making, monitor and resolve issues with data systems, and ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will apply cost optimization strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize expenses. Additionally, you'll work with version control systems like Azure DevOps GIT for code management and maintenance, functioning in an agile, scrum environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. - Designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines with cloud services such as Azure Databricks, GCP, and/or AWS - Creating efficient data pipelines and performing complex data transformations with ETL/SQL skills - Implementing data storage solutions on cloud platforms, with a preference for on-premise experience - Ensuring data integrity and efficiency by managing slowly changing dimensions (SCD) through incremental loads - Designing and optimizing data structures using data modeling techniques like 3NF and Dimensional Modeling

What we expect from you

Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a data engineer, preferably with a focus on cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
Hands-on experience with cloud services such as Lambda, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric.
Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Scala, or SQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of concepts like Data Lakehouse and Data Mesh.
