About this vacancy

TMC is looking for a Civil Designer for a client in the Utrecht region. At this client, everything revolves around smart road design with technical depth and practical feasibility. Here, it’s not about "drawing for the sake of drawing," but about designs that combine vision with constructability.

As a Civil Designer, you are the content-driven expert behind the designs. You work on projects in various phases, from sketch to implementation design, delivering designs that are accurate, fitting, and executable. In doing so, you take traffic, safety, maintenance, and feasibility into account.

Where you make the difference:

Translating requirements and guidelines (CROW, ROA, project-specific) into clear and integrated designs
Developing alignments, profiles, elevation designs, and road constructions
Providing design reports, drawings, and validations according to the agreed standard
Contributing ideas regarding phasing, temporary situations, and safety in implementation scenarios
Collaborating intensively with modelers, project managers, environment managers, and implementation advisors

What we expect from you

We are looking for someone with a passion for infrastructure and a keen eye for detail. Someone who can independently create designs, but also understands the power of collaboration.

Experience as a Designer in infra/Civil Engineering projects (for example at a consultancy or government organization)
Experience with OpenRoads, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and/or other design tools
Familiarity with CROW guidelines, RAW methodology, and BLVC frameworks
Ability to think integrally and switch between disciplines and stakeholders
Enthusiasm to create designs that not only meet requirements but also convince
