About this vacancy
- Conduct continuous market research to identify potential vendors and stay informed of industry trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Source new packaging suppliers, and occasionally ingredient suppliers, for new projects. Identify backup and cost-effective suppliers for existing packaging items.
- Requesting quotes and reviewing/comparing quotes to select the most suitable candidates for the R&D team’s trials.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to organize material purchases for trials.
- Attend vendor meetings and document key points and action items.
- Arrange trips to merchandising events and handle necessary travel arrangements.
- Develop beneficial relationships and negotiate purchase agreements with suppliers.
- Support periodic forecasting analysis and review annual procurement needs.
- Update ERP systems with relevant data, including cost updates for existing and new items.
- Contribute to standard cost determination.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement and/or packaging, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and process improvement skills.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, V-lookups, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multi-site operations, both domestically and internationally.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Sage X3, SAP) and a proven track record of implementing improvements within the ERP.
